Internet Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You generally put a wager (a dollar is the usual value) to try to win a bonus jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they are also very hard to succeed. You might have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, think about this- you wager 20 hands and put the side bet every time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker wager. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds utilizing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only one. This takes the overall house edge from 2% with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5% in American. The single number wager has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you wager on it, the house advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you must choose, it isn’t advisable to wager on Keno to often. A couple of times for entertainment, perhaps. But do not waste all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself bankrupt.
